FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Telephone Advice

Telephone advice is only offered to patients registered with our practice. There is no charge for telephone advice given for follow-up queries following a consultation. An appointment is usually advised for new problems but if the patient specifies a preference for a telephone consultation, this may be chargeable.

Medical Insurance

Some insurance companies, especially International or American policies, will cover General Practice services. When GP services aren’t covered, the policy will often cover any further tests or investigations required.

Test Results

Most blood test results are available within 24-48 hours and patients will be contacted regarding their results. Following a periodic medical, patients will receive a comprehensive medical report including test results and recommendations.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be collected from the practice during normal working hours or can be posted to you first class. If necessary, prescriptions can be called through to a pharmacy for collection or via Pharmacierge, a pharmacy concierge service.

Disabled Patients

The practice has full disabled access.

Face to face consultations will continue during the second lockdown

We are working in PPE in a Covid-safe environment and consider it imperative that patients are able to continue to come in to see us in person so will continue to offer appointments at 25 Harley Street as usual, including screening medicals.

The most recent Government guidelines highlight the importance of maintaining good health and discussing new symptoms with your doctor. Leaving home for medical reasons and appointments is allowed within the rules of the second lockdown.

We have access to both PCR and rapid Covid tests. We can provide onsite tests for patients without symptoms (e.g. prior to essential travel) and send a home testing kit to patients with symptoms or those who are considered contacts of a Covid case. Please call the office to discuss your requirements (020 4580 1152)
